Gameweek 27 & 28 Review

The title race is heating up. Leicester could only draw with WBA and everyone expected the rest to catch up. But in the end, Spurs, Arsenal and Man City all lost, resulting in Leicester extending their lead instead! It almost seemed like they don’t want to win the title. I am sure our teams in the True Dedication Fantasy League all want to win and with the end of GW28, there are just 10 more games to seal our fates.

There were no changes to positions 1st, 2nd, 6th to 11th for the league. Seng Kwee and Luffy D kept their first and second places while David Ngiau and ProTipster Sparks also stayed in 6th and 7th respectively. Yong Khiang took over Chun Boon‘s 3rd place while Maurice Li climbed one spot to 4th.

Teck Beng will be hoping to break into the top 7 as he is just 4 points behind in 8th place. The rest of the pack will have a much harder time to break into the top 7 as ChunYu who is in 9th is a big 50 points behind the 7th placed Sparks. With only 10 games left, the rest would need to catch up fast. It can be seen that the rest of the teams are falling behind, possibly from a lack of interest at this stage of the season.

Most of the top 10 actually lost ground in their chase first except for Luffy who cut the gap to 32 points from 41 points. The fight for 3rd spot is very very tight indeed with just 1 point separating each of the teams in the 3rd to 5th teams of Yong Khiang, Maurice and Chun Boon.

As usual, a kind reminder that the top 7 positions at the end of the season will be winning prizes besides the usual MOTM prizes. You can check out the current table standings below. If you want to find out the weekly table standings for the past 28 gameweeks, you can also find them at the link below.

Chips played:

Chips Comments:

Despite using his Triple Captain Chip, Beng Hwee only managed to score 35 points which was just 2 points above the average. Kane blanked and only got him 6 points and only Ozil and Dawson got fantasy returns for his team.

Weishen also used his Triple Captain Chip and it was on Mahrez who also blanked but at least he got the extra clean sheet point which helped to earn him 9 points from his chip. His team had a score of 53 which was quite good but it was a poor return from his Chip.

DJ Hustler used his Wildcard Chip and made 6 transfers. It didn’t turn out well as he scored just 26 points which some way below the average of 35 points.

Ivan also used the Wildcard Chip and scored 28 points after making 7 transfers. Another poor showing.
